A Message from the Dean of the College of Business

The Advanced Management Program (AMP) offered through the University of Nevada, Reno provides participants with an outstanding opportunity to learn and develop skills related to the most current management practices. Designed to accommodate the schedules of working professionals, the 13-session program features interaction with many of the nationally prominent faculty of the College of Business. Upon completion, participants will have gained the skills and knowledge to become more effective at senior levels in their organizations.

Participants come from a wide variety of organizations and institutions with many different backgrounds and experiences. They include experienced and new managers, technical professionals, small-business owners and public employees. All share a common goal to learn how to become better managers and leaders.

In a curriculum that includes coverage of functional business areas such as organizational behavior, information technology, accounting, international management and business ethics, participants have the opportunity to network, share in learning exercises and develop a better understanding of the ways to drive organizational success. With coverage of business fundamentals and concepts taught in graduate business degree programs such as the MBA, the Advanced Management Program is a great way to invest in your career.

-- David Newkirk, CEO of Executive Education at the Darden School of Business,
