Fire Science Academy
Founded in 1972,
the University of Nevada, Reno Fire Science Academy is recognized as one
of the most comprehensive emergency response programs and
facilities in the world. FSA's 426-acre, state-of-the-art campus
in Carlin, Nevada, includes multimedia classrooms as well as props for
live-simulation
training in fire fighting, industrial rescue and hazardous materials. Train

- Full-scale burnable props, utilizing liquid petroleum fuel in
real-life situations
- Multilevel replica of an oil refinery operation
- 70-foot foam fire suppression
tank — the largest training tank in North
America
