Lake Tahoe Music Camp (For musicians entering grades 6-12)

The University of Nevada, Reno's Lake Tahoe Music Camp provides a fun-filled week of music — rehearsals, concerts and clinics — and activities at Lake Tahoe. The overnight camp is directed by Dr. Andrew Heglund, assistant professor in the University’s Department of Music and Dance, along with some of the finest music educators in their fields. All musical skill levels in wind instrumental and percussion areas are welcome.

KIDS University 2010

KIDS UEach summer, Extended Studies presents KIDS University, a fun and educational day camp open to children entering grades 2-8, offered in seven weeklong sessions. Sessions are held on the University campus, and some include field trips. KIDS U features programs and activities to energize kids' minds and bodies, and has included such classes as Broadcast News, Cultures Worldwide, Tasty Tidbits, Bugs and Butterflies, Hip-Hop Nation, Pesos, Paellas and Piñatas, and much more. Full-day sessions run Monday-Friday, from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., with a lunch break followed by afternoon recreational activities. Half-day participants may be picked up at 12:15 p.m. Information about next summer’s KIDS University will be available in Spring 2010.
